Joniii.I love Rust.

I am a self-taught developer. I used to write a lot of TypeScript and JavaScript, but these days I'm basically doing everything in Rust.

Right now, my main focus is rewriting my Discord bot RhythmCore from JS to twilight-rs. Besides that, I'm building web apps with Leptos, creating APIs with Rocket, and working on a Rust mod for a Unity game.

About Me

Hey there! Im Joniii. I used to be a JS/TS developer who wrote "some garbage in files and pretended that it worked :D". Nowadays I still do that but I fell in love with Rust and basically migrated my entire stack to it.

Im deeply focused on building scalable backend systems and high performance applications. My biggest project right now is the complete rewrite of RhythmCore a Discord bot on over 34.000 servers from JS into twilight-rs.

Self Taught

I learned programming by just doing it. reading documentation, debugging, and building real world projects that people use.

Backend & Infrastructure

Writing services using Rust, Tokio, PostgreSQL, and Redis. I deploy everything using Docker and recently with k8s.

Exploring Tech

Beyond bots and APIs with Rocket, I'm currently exploring web development with Leptos and building a Rust-based mod for a Unity game.
